Manuka Honey creates a moist healing environment that allows new skin cells to grow across a healing wound flush with the surface of the wound, preventing deformity of the skin and scaring

It has been discovered that this unique type of honey contains extraordinary healing properties that are capable of treating a wide spectrum of health conditions.

Acid reflux disease—take a teaspoon of Manuka honey and put it on a piece of toast. The toast allows it to stay in the stomach longer at a higher concentration. Take 30 min before meals and before you go to bed.

Stomach ulcers– Use the same treatment for acid reflux disease above.

Sore throat– I like to take a spoonful and keep it in your mouth as long as possible. Keep it on the outside of your teeth and allow it time to do its work. This is also good for any open sores in your mouth or when you have had dental work.

Gum disease—Use the same treatment for sore throat above.

Cough—Use the same treatment for sore throat above.

Diarrhea / Constipation—Diarrhea in 50% of the cases is caused by bacteria. Use the same treatment for acid reflux disease above.

Is it true that honey can cause infant botulism?

Yes, honey can cause infant botulism. Honey is a known source of bacterial spores that produce Clostridium botulinum bacteria. When ingested by infants, these bacteria make a toxin that can cause infant botulism, a rare and serious form of food poisoning. For this reason, infants under 12 months of age should never be fed honey. Past 12 months the body has developed the means to fight the bacterial spores.

Infant botulism affects a baby's nervous system and can result in death. Most babies with infant botulism, however, do recover. Signs and symptoms of infant botulism include:

· Persistent constipation

· Floppy arms, legs and neck

· Weak cry due to muscle weakness

· Weak sucking and poor feeding

· Tired all the time (lethargy)

· Difficulty breathing

Botulism spores may also be found in low-acid home-canned foods and corn syrup. For this reason, you should avoid feeding these foods to infants.
